Norma Elide Pech de Acosta

Norma Elide Pech de Acosta, beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother, left us peacefully in her home surrounded by family on August 1, 2020 at the age of 79. Norma is survived by her loving children: Norma (Rudy) Jasso, Maria (Nelson) Jacobo, Leticia (Dominic) Gonzales, Juana Gutierrez, Juan Acosta, and Josie Gonzalez; 30 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, (siblings) Marcelo Pech, Maricela Rodriguez, Manuela Gomez, Mary Pech and Leticia Pech. She is preceded in death by her mother (Ernestina), father (Marcelo), brothers (Fernando, Luis and Mario), sister (Ernestina) and her son in law (Juan Gutierrez). Norma was born in Dzitbalché, Campeche on October 7, 1940 to Marcelo and Ernestina Pech. At the age of 23 she followed her father and brothers who were migrant workers in California. Norma was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. She enjoyed BBQ’s and outings with all her family. She was a great cook, her family looked forward to her home cooked meals. Norma enjoyed spending time in her garden, going to casinos and listening to her favorite music. She was a loving woman who often opened her home to anyone in need. She will forever be cherished and missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to Norma’s caregivers Martha, Suzie, Irma, Blanca, Mariah and the staff at Angel of God Hospice for their care and comfort in Norma’s final months.
