Francisco Guzman

Francisco Guzman, 78, of Somis left us to enter the heavenly gates, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Dec. 28, 1928, in Zamora, Mexico. He had been a Ventura County resident for 51 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter Socorro; parents, Francisco and Victoria; brothers Manuel and Geraldo; and sister Margarita. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Maria; sons, Frank and Martin Guzman; daughters Teresa Maldonado (husband David) and Leticia Rodriguez (husband Gustavo); grandchildren, Anthony, Gus and Frankie (wife Danielle), Sheena Rodriguez (husband Albert), David (wife Yolanda), Michael (wife Lupita) and Timothy (wife Marissa) Maldonado; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Albert Delagdo and Ashlyn Rodriguez; brothers Jorgo and Vincente; sister Rosa; and many nieces and nephews. If roses grow in heaven, Lord, please pick a bunch for us. Place them in our father's arms and tell him they're from us. Tell him we love him and miss him and when he turns to smile, please place a kiss upon his cheek. And hold him for a while.
