Life Legacy Stanley Joseph Mars (Miarczynski) was born in Power's Lake Wisconsin on April 30, 1926. After his family moved to Chicago, he started playing baseball with a farm team of the Washington Senators. He went into the Airforce at a young age. He went to school after he got out of the service and got a degree in Electrical engineering while he was working for Ford aircraft in Chicago he met and married Adele Bykowski. The Ford plant closed and they moved to California. He was one of ten (10) children.; He was the only one who went to college. He is a Veteran and was a belly gunner on a B-24 aircraft during WWII. He worked for Aerojet Aviation in Rancho Cordova near Sacramento California . In Southern California he worked for Lockheed in Palmdale and Burbank. He was a member of the knights of columbus and a 4th degree member. councils 5803 and 9969 He was diagnosed with Dementia at the age of 83. Four sons were eventually born, Michael, Lawrence, Brian and Stephen. He has 6 grand children The family then moved to Southern California and Stanley then worked for Lockheed on the L1011 airplane. He enjoyed his work-working on different airplanes for lockheed. He was never sick and never missed a days work because of an illness. When the diagnosis was made that he had Alzheimer's disease it was devastating to the family. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 4-8pm located at the Perez Family Funeral Home Moorpark Chapel, 887 Patriot Drive, Suite J in Moorpark. The vigil will begin at 6pm. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 8am located at Holy Cross Church in Moorpark. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Simi Valley.
