It is with great sadness that the family of Aida R. Del Rio announces her passing after a lengthy illness at the age of 85 years. Aida died peacefully in her sleep on May 30, 2018, in Oxnard, CA. She was born on August 24, 1932 in Caloocan City, Philippines to Nicasio and Vicente (Rejalde) Galipot. Aida married Ray Del Rio on June 7, 1949 in Caloocan City, Philippines.
She enjoyed country line dancing and shopping. Over the years, Aida volunteered at the Senior Center in Oxnard as the Food Chairman.
She was a loyal employee for Saticoy Country Club in Somis for 33 years. Aida loved her job and was adored by many.
Survivors include her five children, Minerva (David) Draper of Michigan, Cora (Mark) Kolander of Kentucky, Virginia (Tad) Kimball of Texas, Ray Del Rio, Jr. of Oxnard and Tessie (Kevin) Patterson of Illinois, grandchildren, Jason and Jeremy Draper, Candice, Cristen and Zachary Kolander, Victor Borja III, Alexa Kimball, Tad Kimball II, Joshua Patterson and several great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nicasio and Vicente (Rejalde) Galipot of the Philippines and her beloved husband of 66 years, Ray Del Rio, Sr. of Manila, Philippines.
