Vito J. Corbo was born May 15, 1928 in Stamford, CT. Jim lived with his family until he joined the army in 1945. He became a career soldier who specialized in erecting communication towers. He faithfully served his country through the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
After retiring in 1965, he returned home. Jim owned, operated and established many small business. His love of people always shined through in all he did. In 1994 Jim and his wife moved to Phoenix, AZ. There he took up real estate, serving many military personnel around Luke Air Force Base.
He connected with many of his fellow service men and women through the numerous reunions held all over the country in September of every year.
Jim is survived by his wife, Jann; his stepchildren and their spouses, Janice Harley, Bud and Beth Harley, Ed and Chalena Harley and Mary Harley; and his seven grandchildren, Samantha, Peter, Chad, Eddie, Faith, Cooper and Hope. Jim will be missed greatly by his family and his many friends.
