Life Legacy
Victor John Alvara, 83, of Oxnard, California went to be with the Lord peacefully on September 19, 2016 with his family by his side. He is survived by his loving wife Hermelinda Alvara and his children: Victoria, Rebecca, Larry, Danny, Stevie, Juanita, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews which he loved so very dearly.
He was a proud Korean War veteran and worked for the Port Hueneme Naval Base for 33 years. He was known to be very hospitable, charismatic, and he loved to laugh. Victor was a die - hard Dodgers and Lakers fan. But most importantly, he was a man of God and loved the Lord with all his heart. Having Victor John as the patriarch of our family is a blessing from God.
A visitation for Victor will begin at 10am on Friday, September 23rd located at the Perez Family Funeral Home in Camarillo. A Funeral Service will begin at 11am. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard.
