Valeriana Reyes-olvera Mendez

On the Morning of May 30th Valeriana Reyes-Olvera Mendez, 86, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home after a very long illness and struggle against Alzheimers. She was born on January 29th 1924 in Coahuila, Agua Nueva, Saltillo, Mexico born to Dirburcio Reyes and Dolores Olvera. Valeria was a resident of Oxnard, CA since 1968. Her final days were spent at the side of the Love of her Life, Jesus Mendez, which were Married for 65 years thru the (in spanish) Catedral de Saltillo Coahuila Mexico. Together they brought up six wonderful children. They shared their kids' joy as they welcomed eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Valeria's gentle smile and loving heart touched and brought so much joy to our family and friends. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She loved to play, crotchete, cook, sew, sing and dance. She was the life of all our lives. We would never stop loving you, you will always be in our hearts. Valeria is survived by her loving Husband, Jesus Mendez, five of her children, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. May god keep her safe for us and may she have comfort in re-joining with loved ones waiting for her in heaven.
