Terri Friefeld

Terri Lynn Friefeld, born Terri Lynn Lantis, 26-year resident of Moorpark, CA, died at the age of 55 at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks on Friday, November 12, 2021 after a 13-year battle with ovarian cancer. Terri was born in Ventura, CA and spent her early childhood growing up in Fillmore, CA. She moved with her family to Escondido, CA, where she graduated from San Pasqual High School in 1984. She graduated from the University of Redlands in 1992 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary education from Pepperdine University in 1996. She worked as a substitute teacher, a part-time P.E. teacher and, beginning in 2014, taught kindergarten and third grade full-time at Walnut Canyon and then Campus Canyon Elementary schools in the Moorpark Unified School District. Terri was preceded in death by her brother Andrew Lantis. Terri is survived by her sons Jared and Chad Friefeld, her parents Karen and Herald Lantis, and her brothers Steven and Richard Lantis, as well as her extended family and many close friends.
