(This is for the photo DVD Slide Show) Teresa Casas Valdez Oxnard, CA Teresa Casas Valdez, 54, went to be with our Lord in heaven Monday, June 7, 2010. She was born February 20, 1956, in Ventura, CA, to Paula Casas Nuñez. She married Raul Gallardo Valdez, April 2, 1983, in Ventura, CA. Teresa attended Rio Mesa High School and graduated from Oxnard College before working at Naval Base Ventura County. She then continued her education at Southern Illinois University after transferring to Point Mugu Naval Station. She eventually left federal service on a disability retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and being surrounded by her family. Her interests included putting together Thomas Kinkade puzzles, competing in family board/card games, going out to Red Lobster, listening to music loudly, ordering from the Home Shopping Network, going on adventures with her sister, and watching the Food Network. Her favorites included See’s Chocolate Nuts & Chews, horror movies, Dodger Dogs, anything Elvis Presley, and especially dancing. She is survived by her mother Paula Casas Nuñez, Deming, NM; her husband Raul Gallardo Valdez, Oxnard, CA; her three children: Jaime Conrado Reza, 33, (Maria), Ventura, CA; Antonio Jose Guerrero, 30, Oxnard, CA; and Jesus Pablo Saldaña, 29, Oxnard, CA; her three grandchildren: Cynthia Marie Reza, 14; Jaime Conrado Reza, Jr.; and Christian Daniel Reza; beloved sister and best friend Lisa Marie Ruiz; brother Rudy Anthony Nuñez, 48, San Diego, CA; and her many nephews, nieces, and godchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister Gina Louise Amador.
