Teresa Urquidez

Teresa Hernandez Urquidez, Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great-Grandmother, Aunt and friend of many passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at the age of 100. She died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family and her 3 caretakers, which had become like family. She was born on October 15, 1908 in Anthony, New Mexico to the union of Earclio and Marie Torres Hernandez. Teresa was a very hard worker and worked in all different fields of work, finally retiring from Hueblin (Chile Factory). She enjoyed going out to breakfast or lunch, getting her hair done and having manicures. Thanks to all the Hairdressers at Lupita's Beauty Salon for being so kind and patient with our mother/grandmother. She really enjoyed her time there. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Esequiel Urquidez, Son Joe (Pepe) Urquidez, daughter Katie Chavez, grandson Bobby Mosqueda, Granddaughter Nena Chavez, Sister Aniceta Ramirez and Brother frank (Pancho) Hernandez. She was the last surviving sibling of six. She is survived by her loving granddaughter, Terri Urquidez, who took loving care of her until the very last moment, her Son Leonard Urquidez (Grace) , daughter Elena Chavez (Enrique), her grandchildren, Steve Mosqueda (Janet), Rose Ann Gonzales(Raymond), Mary Ann and Lorraine Mosqueda, Adan Chavez, Sandy Landeros (Victor), Michael and Lynette Urquidez and many , many Great-Grandchildren and Great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that greatly loved her. We are very grateful for her caretakers Erica & daughters, Angelica and Margarita (Mago), who showed a love and kindness that added to Teresa's quality of life in her later years. Terri and her family will always hold a special place in our hearts for each of you and also "Thank you" for watching over and taking care of Terri. Terri and all of you made a great team!
