Ted Ramirez Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend, was called home on September 14, 2013. With his passing, our community has lost an inspirational voice and talent. Born on July 2, 1954, Ted was a lifelong resident of Oxnard. He attended Oxnard High School. He went on to earn a professional psychiatric technician license. He was employed at Camarillo State Hospital for 18 years.
He loved spending time with his family and friends. His greatest passion was his grandchildren.
Ted was well known in the So Cal music scene. He enjoyed many appearances with a multitude of bands at venues from San Diego to Santa Barbara. As a singer he was known for his soulful style, and authentic interpretation of the songs he performed. He also was President of eastside little league and coached his sons throughout there childhood years. He loved taking care of and working with disabled children at caring concern.
He is survived by his wife Jessie of 33 years. His children Joanne, Ted Jr, Gene, Carlo, and Noah. His grandchildren, Salena, Vanessa, Phillip, Julian, Anthony, Liana, Jayle, Jayden, Jazzy, and Jollie. His sisters Marylou, Pauline and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his Mom Pauline, Dad Theordore, and his brothers Proxy, Arnold and his sister Isabel.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Cedar Sinai and Fresinus Dialysis Center. Jessie would like to say "thank you" to all the family and friends who supported the two of them over the years.
