Taylor Ross, our sweet, beautiful, Pixie Angel, will always be remembered as a young soul with a vibrant energy and warmth, which filled a room the minute she walked in. She never met a stranger, and no one could ignore the powerful, colorful energy she spread wherever she went. Her passion for life and all things beautiful, coupled with her incredible intuition, gave her the ability to turn anything ordinary into something magical. Please join in celebrating Taylor’s life and honoring her beautiful memory.
When Lee and Taylor met, it was love at first sight. They met in church and so began their spiritual path together. Their hearts and spirits bound together as one, and the love they shared was inspirational to all who witnessed it. They were the best of friends and had a model relationship in which unconditional love was at the very core of its foundation. They built a life together, getting married and creating a lovely home as an adoring couple. They raised four furry, impeccably dressed lap puppies: Sugar Pie, Peanut, Zoe and Bingo. Taylor was an amazing second mother to Lee’s son, Ian. She was selfless and caring and was a rock in Lee's and Ian’s life, just as they were for her. The love between Taylor and Lee is the very definition of true love: the purest, most beautiful, rare form of love that very few people are blessed to experience.
Everything Taylor had accomplished in her professional life was achieved with the highest standards of ethics, teamwork and praise for others. Taylor’s brilliant mind, work ethic and vibrant personality led her to success and countless promotions in many industries, including The Limited Corporation, Lancôme Cosmetics, Century 21 real-estate marketing and her own business, TaylorMade Treasures. Her professional success was a testament to Taylor’s brilliance and talent. Her motto was “Autograph your work with excellence”, which guided everything she created. The most important part of her professional career, however, was the connections she made with the people she worked with, some of whom have remained life-long friends for over 30 years.
In her personal life, Taylor was a constant ray of sunshine, and her positive energy and light were contagious to everyone who met her. She could warm your heart with just her laughter and smile. Taylor and Lee loved to be active and go on adventures. They enjoyed running together, and Taylor power-walked even when she fell ill (and still out-walked Lee in their friendly competitions)! The two enjoyed going to concerts and even had the chance to meet their rock idol, Joan Jett, twice. They loved going to new and exciting places on their Vespa scooters or Lee’s motorcycle. Their favorite activity was yoga, and they quickly met some life-long friends within their yoga community. Taylor brightened the room when she walked into the studio, putting a smile on everyone’s face and making sure to learn everyone’s name. She was a courageous woman who fought valiantly to live, love & laugh—a life certainly touched by the Angels.
Taylor Ann Ross earned her wings on August 14, 2015. She was born on June 4, 1959, and is survived by her wife of 17 years, Lee LaDon Harrison; son, Ian Harrison; mother, Leslie Paradise; father, Dr. William Ross (deceased); sister, Lisa Galvin; brother, Dr. David Ross; and their families.
Now, it is time to come together and celebrate her life with a memorial gathering. Lee would like to invite everyone who knew and loved Taylor, to bring their stories and share their love on Wednesday, August 26th, from 3:00 pm - 7:30 pm. Even if you think you might not know anyone or just be standing there in a room full of strangers, rest assured that you won't. Taylor's gift of turning strangers into friends will be there shining through in our stories, our pictures and in our hearts, and we will all come together to honor the extraordinary life of this beautiful woman who exemplified kindness, strength and grace.
