Stephen Mark Walsh

Stephen Mark Walsh Sr, age 61, was promoted to Glory, on August 31st, 2016. Stephen was born in Santa Monica, California, to the late Eugene R. Walsh and Gertrude Eve Walsh on January 4th, 1955. He grew up in Camarillo, CA, and graduated from Camarillo High School. Stephen married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Walsh on October 1st, 1977, whom he met while working at Camarillo State Hospital. They settled in Moorpark, where they raised their family, and resided for 30 years. He then worked for many years at GTE, and he eventually retired from the DMV, Santa Paula. Stephen is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Walsh, His children, Stephen Mark Walsh Jr, Vanessa Maria Walsh, (all from Moorpark, CA), Yvonne Velasquez-Silva (Noel) (Coppell, Texas), and Lisa Velasquez-Ortega (Joey) (Camarillo); His grandchildren Amber Ortega-Branstetter (Dave), Nicholas Silva, Joseph Ortega Jr (Sharlene), Devin Ortega, Rylee Ortega, and his great-grandson Grayden Branstetter; his sister Kathy Walsh-Hampton (Steve), nieces and nephew, Brittany Hampton-Hernandez, Alyson Hampton, and Jesse Hampton (Camarillo, CA); and his beloved companions Dre and Reyna. On Saturday September 10th, 2016 at 11:00am we will gather to celebrate his life, at the Perez Family Mortuary at 1347 Del Norte Rd., Camarillo California, 93010. In Lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his memory, to Stephen’s favorite organization, the Salvation Army ARC Canoga Park.
