Stanley M McClary

Stanley McClary Stanley passed away peacefully with his wife, Meredith, of 56 years at his side. He was born October 17th 1926 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. He was a proud veteran having served in the Army, the Air Force and Air National Guard. He devoted more then 20 years of service to our Armed Services. Stan met and married the love of his life, Meredith Jett, in Van Nuys. Upon retirement from the Air National Guard base in Van Nuys, CA. Stan moved his family to Oxnard, California in 1964 and began a second career in Wholesale Plumbing. He loved watching all sports and especially enjoyed playing golf with the Senior Men’s Clubs at the Riverridge Golf Course and the Hueneme Golf Course. Stanley is survived by his wife Meredith, son Gerald Dowd McClary (Laura) of Atlanta, GA, daughters Brenda Jean Ives (Fred) of Van Nuys, CA and Robin Lynne Carroll (Wayne) of Denver, CO. and grandsons Jason Ives and John Gerbich, many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Service will be held Thursday Jan 3, 2013 at the Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Rd, Camarillo, at 10:30am. Reception to follow at the American Legion, Oxnard Post, located at 2639 Wagon Wheel Rd. Oxnard. Burial will be at 12:15pm on Monday Jan 7th at the National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
