Severina Israel

IN LOVING MEMORY SEVERINA D. ISRAEL 1932- 2016 Severina D. Israel, 84 y/o of Oxnard, CA passed away in Pleasant Valley Hospital on August 22, 2016. Severina was born in Manila, Philippines on January 8,1932 to Adriana Concepcion and Manuel Dantes. She attended Manila Central University and graduated with a degree of BS Nursing. Severina moved to the US in 1962 and worked as a nurse. She got married in 1964 to Vincent Israel Sr. who passed away in 1969. She raised their 2 children by herself and moved back to the Philippines in 1972. She stayed for a while in the country and moved back to the US as the children have grown in 1997. Viring as known to everyone was also a proud member of the Among Friends and the Ventura County Adult Center. Ditse/Auntie Ditse/Lola Ditse as being called by family members was a very generous person, a good adviser and with a very big heart to everyone. Severina, a loving and caring mother and grandmother is survived by her children, daughter Mary Jane & husband Edgar and son Vincent and her 5 grandchildren, Elyka, Marvin, Matthew, Vanessa, and Mason. Memorial services will be held at the Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Road, Camarillo, CA 93010 on August 26th, Friday 4-10pm and August 27th, Saturday 3-9pm. A funeral mass will be held on August 30th, Tuesday 10am at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 473 West Pleasant Valley Road, Oxnard CA 93033.
