Ruth Marion McGlone, 83, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2012 in Ventura with her family by her side. Marion was born October 14, 1928, in Inglewood, CA. Marion and Bob raised their family in Van Nuys, CA then moving to Ventura, CA. Following retirement they resided in Los Olivos for a number years, and returned to Ventura in 2008, most recently living at The Palms in Ventura, and we thank them as well as Buena Vista Hospice for their support during this difficult time. Marion worked for Lockheed for a number of years in the 1960’s and as administrative assistant for Grover-Hollingsworth in Westlake Village for 15 years, retiring in 1996. Marion loved traveling, family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook. She and Bob spent much of their retirement traveling and volunteering at their church. They were extremely generous, taking their children and grandchildren on many family trips. Marion was preceeded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert McGlone; parents, Charles and Lucy Maas Cate, and nine siblings. She is survived by her children, Michael McGlone of Bend, Oregon, Patti Norton (husband Ron) of Port Hueneme, and Carol Kane (husband Michael) of Ventura; Grandchildren, Derek and Heather Zadra (husband Michael), Matthew McGlone (wife Layla), Annie Chabot (husband Chris), Rebekah Ladow, Davis (wife Kimberly), Justin (wife Anita), and Taylor Kane; great grandchildren, Chris and Jessica Zadra, Kane, Elijah (Castillo), Harmony, and Jude Chabot; Alyssa and Chloe Zadra, Indigo Ladow and Hazel Joy McGlone.
