Rosie Montanio passed away on March 17, 2019 in Camarillo, CA at Saint Johns Pleasant Valley Hospital after complications with dementia. Rosie leaves behind her two children, Ben Montanio and Lisa Fischer, and her three grandchildren, Anthony Montanio, Corazon Montanio, and Mia Fischer.
Born December 17, 1926 Rosie lived a long and full life filled with many hardships and health related issues however, her life was also filled with the joy of being a homemaker and raising her two children, and later being a part of her three grandchildren’s lives. She touched the lives of everyone she came across with her sense of humor, and compassion for those she loved. But above all else, one of the biggest lessons she taught people was how to fight and never give up. She demonstrated this in every obstacle life threw her way, up until her final 6 year long battle with dementia, with her incredibly strong will to live and the grace with which she fought with, were the two biggest factors that got her to the proud age of 92. Although Rosie is no longer with us, the lessons she taught and the love she shared will live on forever in her family and friends.
