Roland Eugene Hoven, passed away on September 4, 2015 in California surrounded by his family.
Roland was born in Littlefork, MN to Garold and Anna Mae Hoven and was the oldest of four children. He graduated from Belgrade High School where he was a star wrestler. After serving in the Army, Rollie married Joan Haider, his high school sweetheart in 1973 and moved to Bemidji to work with his father in their business, Grizzly Bldgs Inc. for 10 years. The adventurous side of Rollie led him and his family to move to Camarillo CA where he continued to complete his education. His work as a COO and CFO with various manufacturing companies included traveling International to various countries.
Rollies passions included flying with his aerobatic plane, coaching soccer with his kids teams, spending time on Lake Mead with his family and taking long trips on his chopper. He will always be remembered for his dry sense of humor and the jokes he played on co-workers and most important his love for his family.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan, son Shawn (Heidi), daughters Tiffany (Rob), and Alysha (Shane). Also two grandsons Kadin and Ian. His brother Michael Hoven(Kaye), Jacque Schmidt(Sam) and Laurie Bayer(Mike) Rollie was preceded in death by his parents Garold and Anna Mae
The Celebration of Life memorial services will be held at Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11AM.
