Rogelio Junior Martinez

d. March 23, 2015

Junior Martinez peacefully passed away at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and was granted his angel wings on Monday March 23, 2015. surrounded by family and loved ones. Junior was a 4th grade student at Elmhurst Elementary. He resided in Ventura Ca. with Amber Cota (Mother), Violette Martinez (Sister), Cienna Martinez (Sister) and Hazel Martinez (sister). Junior was truly a "Gentle Giant" he was sweet, kind, and most of all huggable. Junior had a smile and eyelashes that would light up a room. He always gave his best and wanted to make his mom proud. He wanted to become a future Xbox creator when he grew up. Junior loved to cuddle with his mom and all who would cuddle with him. We called it cuddle wuddle time and it was his favorite time. My son was a precious funny guy. He enjoyed cracking up on jokes and spending time with his cousins and friends. Junior attended Elmhurst all his days of life. Homework was not a favorite but games and friends were at the top of the list. Basketball was his favorite sport and he enjoyed playing and beating everyone. He was a gamer he would say he enjoyed playing Xbox 360 with friends, sisters and his uncles. He was great at all he set his mind to. His favorite color was blue. Lakers were his team. His favorite Xbox games were Call of Duty and Grand theft auto. Junior's life might seem too short for many, but all those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile would melt hearts all around without saying a word. His existence was priceless and there will never be anyone like him. Although junior's illness made him seem frail he possessed strength, and the ability to overcome odds and physical challenges. He was a fighter and with his courage gave those around him life long lessons, and that each day is a blessing. He brought people to pray and his mother and step father to fight the spiritual battle and pray side by side. He gave us all faith and even though we might not understand why a child must be taken so soon GOD knows and has a purpose for him not just any but the most high. My son is now an angel and even though he might not be here in the flesh he lives here in the spirit, my heart, and the hearts of people around the world who joined his final days of an international prayer. I want to thank everyone for their continued prayers. My son was awesome and he is deeply missed yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever. He is now home in Heaven. For this is not good bye, but we will see you later. Junior is survived by four sisters, one brother, two step sisters, mother and step father, father, too many auntie and uncles to count, the most amazing grandmother, great grandparents, and many cousins who love and adore him.
