Robert Juan Garcia

Bob as he was known to family and friends, passed away on December 11, 2009. He was born on May 12, 1944 in Ventura, CA to Carlos L. Garcia and Amalia Pillado. Bob attended schools in Ventura County and graduated from Buena High School in 1962. He earned a Bachelor Degree in Architecture and Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1966-68 which included services in Vietnam (SIGNAL CORPS-wireman). Bob and Gloria Rodriguez from Ventura were married on April 3, 1971. Bob and Gloria raised two sons of whom they are very proud, Ricardo and Fernando Garcia. He is survived by his wife Gloria of 38 yrs. His mother Amalia Pillado, brothers Manuel Garcia, Charley Garcia, Sam Guzman, Dan Guzman, and sisters Virginia Mendez, and Marie Garcia. He was employed as Site Mgr. for Martinez Architects Inc. in Thousand Oaks, CA.
