Robert M Bradley

d. September 12, 2017

Robert (Bob) Michael Bradley, 63, passed away at his home in Ojai on Sept 12, 2017 surrounded by his family after a courageous year long battle with pancreatic cancer. Bob was born on May 27, 1954, the son of Jack Bradley and Dotty (Bradley) Albrecht and raised in Santa Barbara, Ca. He worked in construction his whole life and became a licensed contractor in his 20's. Although he loved his profession and was naturally talented when it came to wood work, his true passion was for the ocean. After graduating from San Marcos High School in 1974 he traveled the world surfing but always came back to his home in CA. In 1981, he married Debby (King) Bradley and they moved to Ojai to start their family. At age 31 he bought the house that would capture his heart, raise his three daughters and experience his last moments of life. The only thing that brought him more joy than surfing, was his family. He was an amazing, loving, supportive and dedicated father. Although Bob and Debby separated in 2005 the two remained the closest of friends. In 2006 he met Jessie, the woman who shared his passion for the ocean and who he spent the rest of his life with. Bob was one who could uphold the label of "Old Soul", he was a very simple man, strong willed, stoic on the outside and passionate on the inside; a one of a kind, who will be forever remembered, missed and never replaced. He is lovingly remembered by his partner of 11 years, Jessie Wayne; his mother, Dotty Albrecht; his three daughters, Marisa (Jon) Fleischer, Alexa (Eric) Woodmansee and Mackenzie Bradley; his two granddaughters, Gillian and Paige Woodmansee; his brother, Donald Bradley; his sister, Susan (Bradley) Silva ; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Come celebrate the life of Bob on Saturday, October 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Debby Bradley's Home: 180 Xavier Ave, Ventura, CA, 93003. Casual attire in honor of Bob.
