Richard V. Luevano

Richard Luevano Oxnard, California On September 7, 2011, Richard Luevano passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife, three children and son-in-law. Richard was born on May 5, 1930 in Lamar, Colorado to Eulalia “Lala” Villalobos and Jesus Luevano. He was one of five children. He married Virginia on November 26, 1966 in Oxnard, California. Richard served his country during the Korean War and was proud to be a Veteran. He worked for the El Rio School District for 40 years and eventually retired in 1992. Richard was an active sports fanatic. He enjoyed football, basketball and especially baseball. In his retirement he enjoyed watching all the baseball games on television and spending time with his grandchildren. Richard is survived by his loving wife Virginia Luevano, his children; Nancy Luevano of San Diego, CA, Anthony Luevano and his wife Lisa of Oxnard, CA, and Veronica Grajeda and her husband Jose of Camarillo, CA., his grandchildren; Kristina, Clarissa, Jose Alessandro Grajeda and Isabella Rose Luevano, his loving sister Cecilia Villasenor of Oxnard, CA and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend the warmest gratitude for all those that supported them with warm thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Richard was loved by his family and he will be greatly missed.
