Richard Arias

October 8, 1962 — April 1, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Delano Arias. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, Uncle and friend who left us peacefully surrounded by his family on 04/01/2025. Richard was a remarkable man whose life was defined by his unwavering love for his family, and his dedication to his work. Richard was known for his great sense of humor, always ready with a joke or a funny story that would light up the room and bring smiles to those around him.

 Richard dedicated 45 years of his life to Weatherford, where he was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment. He was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Richard's generous spirit extended beyond the workplace; he was an active member of the Piru Petroleum Club actively participated in numerous fundraising events, selflessly contributing to his community. One of ten siblings, he exemplified the values of family, camaraderie, and generosity, always striving to make a positive impact. His commitment to his job was matched only by his dedication to his family. Richard was a devoted husband. He cherished his wife Christine, with whom he shared 42 years of love and companionship. Together, they built a beautiful family. Richard took immense pride in being a father to Elizabeth, Richie, Jillian and a grandfather to Mason and Luke. His love for his family was boundless. 

His legacy extends to a large and loving extended family, including his siblings , and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eleanor and Lupe Arias, and siblings Teri, Andy, and JJ. He was always there to offer support, guidance, and a listening ear. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was hunting, fishing, or gathering around the barbecue. His enthusiasm for barbecuing was legendary, and many will fondly remember the delicious meals he prepared, bringing everyone together around the grill. His passion for the outdoors was only rivaled by his love for bringing people together, and he had a unique ability to make every family gathering a memorable occasion.

Richard's legacy of love, kindness, and infectious humor will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves behind a family and a community that will forever cherish his memory. Rest in peace, dear Richard; you will be missed more than words can express. 

A celebration of Richard's life will be held on April 30th, 2025, at San Salvador Mission church in Piru at 11:00 am. Reception to follow immediately after at Britt Park. Friends and family are invited to join us in honoring a man who brought so much happiness to our lives.
