Raymond Rios Marin

Raymond Rios Marin “NINO RAY” Born in Oxnard, California on August 30, 1961 to Becky and David Marin passed on December 13, 2010 due to a lengthy illness. Ray was a lifelong resident of Oxnard, California. He was a very loving, kind son, brother, nino, uncle and friend to many. He was very genuine, a protector, who had the biggest heart ever, intelligent and knew anything about everything you could think of. You could ask Raymond a question and he would know the exact answer and all the correct dates. He loved to read literature, bike ride, bbq, dance and one of his favorite activities was cooking. He was absolutely the best Chef ever. Raymond made meals fit for Kings and Queens, he was amazingly great. He was excellent in sports, sports statistics, his favorite Teams were the St. Louis Rams (NFL), Los Angeles Lakers (NBA), & Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB) and was a drug counselor at Vista Del Mar Psychiatric Hospital in Ventura. Ray always helped the homeless, those less fortunate than him and loved his family dearly. Ray brightened any room that he entered with his great charm, charisma and beautiful smile. He was our “Hero” and now he is watching over us in Heaven. He will live on through us all and be remembered of all his Great doings. Raymond is survived by Mother Becky Marin (Rudy “Pops” Garcia), Father David Marin, & Stepmother (Donna Marin), Fiancé Bea Garcia, Stepdaughter Alyssa Jo Villasenor, his Loving Puppies Niko, & Maki. Sisters Dolores (Joey Apodaca), Rachel (Frank Silvas), Renee (John Gil Jr.), Regina Marin (Jim Juarez), Roseanne Hernandez and Davina Marin. Brother Anthony Marin. God Children Hugo Hernandez Jr., Angel Silvas and Anthony Valenzuela. As well as numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, & cousins. Raymond is preceded in death by his Sister Roxanne Hernandez, Paternal Grandparents Dolores & Pablo Marin, Maternal Grandmother Rachel Morales, & Step Grandfather Luis “Jesus” Morales & Maternal Grandfather Papa Paul Rios. Dec. 27 at 10am at Perez Family Chapel 1347 Del Norte Rd Camarillo ca 93010. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard.
