Raymond Kellogg Junge

Raymond Kellogg Junge, Silverstrand Beach, Oxnard, CA., age 50, became our angel, February 6th surrounded by family and friends. Ray was born May 14, 1959 in Hollywood, CA. to Kellogg Gordon Junge Sr, and Marie Frances Marino Junge. Ray grew up in Sherman Oaks, CA., attending Sherman Oaks Elementary, Van Nuys Jr, Paul Revere Jr, and Van Nuys High. Ray began apprenticing in the electrical trade after high school becoming an Electrical Contractor.He was a proud member of Local 728, Studio Electrical Lighting Technicians. In the early 1980's he established Raymond Junge Electrical Service with the distinctive "let us check your shorts" logo as it's trademark. His clientele consisting of residences, businesses and many notable celebrities made him quite successful. Ray moved to Hollywood Beach in 1990 and later Silverstrand Beach residing 10 years at 608 Ocean Dr. Ray loved surfing, friends and animals especially his Dalmatians, Dino and Stoker. He is probably best known for throwing the huge Ugly Hawaiian Shirt Parties with his brother Kelly at Silverstrand. Anyone who met Ray would never forget him. He was especially grateful to have a year to tell people goodbye and that he loved them thanks to Dr. Evan Slater, Oncology Unit and staff at VCMC & Hospice. He is survived by sister, Kathy J. Rigg, Volcano, Hawaii, brother Kelly Junge, Jr. of Camarillo, CA, sister Linda Marie of Westminster, CA. nieces, nephews and various relatives in the Northwest, Midwest and East Coast. An informal gathering for friends and family will take place on the beach at Silverstrand near the Hollywood Ave. access, Saturday February 27th at 12:00 noon. Ray would be happy if you were there.
