Ralph Max Kerr, a longtime resident of Camarillo, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 06, 2011 after a long battle with cancer and other illnesses. He will go home to be with the Lord, his wife Telotha, and the many other family members who passed before him.
He was born in Missouri and served in the United States Air Force for four years. He is survived by his mother Norma Randolph of Missouri, son and daughter-in-law Brian and Linda Kerr of Las Vegas, daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Steve Centeno of Camarillo, brother Roger and sister Jerlene, both of Missouri. Ralph’s greatest passion was spending time with his grandchildren and family members and telling stories and jokes to all.
He was employed as a psychiatric technician at Camarillo State Hospital for approx. 38 years. His hobbies over the years included hanging with the guys at McDonalds, doing crossword and Suduko puzzles, playing cards and gambling at the Chumash Casino every chance he got. He was always happy and cheerful and took everything in stride.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Travis Kerr, Devanie Kerr, Cheyenna Kerr, Kayla Centeno, Gracie Centeno, and Holly Centeno, as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews and his dear friend Albert Gregory. They were his treasures in life.
