RACHEL CABRAL

Rachel Cabral passed away on March 26, 2016 at 9:28 a.m. surrounded by her loved ones, after a long illness. Rachel was born on July 5, 1945 to Abundio and Helen (Padilla) Rojo of Oxnard, CA. She met and married Daniel Joe Cabral, the son of Pedro and Josephine Cabral of Saticoy, CA in 1963. They had five children; Daniel (Martha) Cabral of Oxnard, CA, Phillip and Peter Cabral of Oxnard, CA, Anna Cabral of Santa Paula, CA, Ronald (Rinalyn) Cabral of Barstow, CA, and Ex-Son-in-law Rafael Torres of Santa Paula, CA. Rachel worked as a vegetable packer at Stokley’s Packing House, Heublein Inc., and Del Monte, all in Oxnard, CA. They later moved to Santa Paula, and started the family owned business - Cabral Precision Swiss, for many years, making and distributing parts for Aerospace and Medical Instruments. She was a family oriented person, and spent most of her time visiting, and talking on the phone with her siblings: Adela Franco, Isabel Salazar, Dolores Rojo, James Rojo, Abundio (Rosie) Rojo Jr., Val (Alfonso) Aguilar all of Oxnard, Vera (Rudy) Marin of Ventura, Christina Zuniga of La Habra, and Ex-Siblings-in-law Carmen Rojo, Manuel Franco, Victor Madueño, Ernie Maldonado, Jess Salazar all of Oxnard and Luis Zuniga of Bakersfield, CA. Our home was the gathering spot for both families and friends always barbequing, picnicking, camping together, and enjoying each other’s company. Siblings-in-law; Peter Cabral, Robert (Irene) Cabral of Santa Paula, Lydia (Joe) Valdivia of El Rio, Paul Cabral of Saticoy, Tony (Paula) Cabral, Susie Hernandez of Oxnard, and Richard (Becky) Cabral of San Fernando and late Sisters-in-law Gloria Cabral of Santa Paula, and Janet Anderson of Ventura. Rachel’s greatest joys was her son Peter, Grandsons; Ralphie (Sharilyn), David (Ashley), Joshua, and Timothy Torres of Santa Paula, Karl Suson Cabral and Joe Abel Cabral of Barstow, Step-Granddaughters; Krystal, Cynthia, Charlene, Cecilia and Kathleen, her four Great-Granddaughters; Selena, Alaina, Sophia, Arabella, Step-Great-Grandchildren, her many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. She had many dear friends who were all welcomed into her home as family. Her last words were “Please tell my family I love them, tell my friends I love them, please make sure and tell them all.” We all love you too Mom, and will miss you dearly!
Viewing will be held on Monday, April 4th, 5 to 9 p.m., with the Rosary at 7 p.m,, at the Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Rd, Camarillo, CA 93010
Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 5th, 10 a.m., at the Santa Clara Church, 323 S. E Street, Oxnard, CA 93030
