Phyllys Porter

Phyllys Emma Porter passed away on Monday October 24 2011 at the age of 87. She was born to Mary and Albert Taubman on October 3 1924 in San Pedro CA. She was the oldest of three children having two younger brothers Wesley and Garry .She married Keith Porter and together the raise three children Gregory, Mallory and Tamaryn. Phyllys resided most of her life in Ventura Ca where she became a pilot and business women but her true passion which was being an artist .Her favorite medium being oil painting but she possessed the gift to turn the everyday ordinary into wonderful works of art. Phyllys like her mother had a sharp wit and funny sense of humour that she carried with her till her very last day. She is survived by her daughters Mallory Porter of Lompc, Tamaryn and husband Danny Ventura of Camarillo, granddaughters Dana and husband Jeremy Bartic of Lompoc, Brittany and husband Carlos Romo of Somis., grandson Daniel Ventura of Camarillo and great grandsons Diego and Elias Romo.Phyllys was an amazing woman who will be missed everyday by all those who met her and in her honor we ask that in lieu of flowers to please make a donation of art supplies to your local school or skilled nursing facility.
