Paul Talaugon peacefully joined his parents, brothers, and loved ones Saturday, September 10, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Roxy, his brother Jack (Elaine) Alpenia, sister Pat Ycoy, children: Tina Talaugon, Bob (Jill) Talaugon, Malinda (Steve) Hardin, Cory (Tara) Smith, Amanda (Rafe) Wilson, and J.R. Talaugon, and 8 grandchildren: Kyle, Makenna, Blake, Chad, Tori, Livy, Brody, and Kaden, and many nephews and nieces.
Paul grew up in La Conchita and attended schools in Ventura. He joined the U.S. Army after graduating Ventura High School and was a proud member of the 101st Airborne. He retired after 27 years of working for UCSB as their Chemistry Store Manager.
Paul, also known to many as “Mr. Miyagi”, enjoyed his family, grandchildren, motorcycle riding, softball games, and the love of food, which he passed on to his children! His love, guidance, and humor were appreciated by all those who had the privilege to know him, but his biggest accomplishment was his family.
