Patricia “Pat/Mom/Nana” Spencler Terzian, 85, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed from this life on November 15, 2011, in the loving comfort of her own home in Somis, after a brief illness.
Pat was a seventh generation Californian, a Camarillo native, and most recently, since 1972 a Somis resident. She spent her entire life in Ventura County, of which she was very proud. She married John Terzian in 1951 and raised their seven children on Pleasant Valley Road, next door to the home where she herself was raised by parents Richard and Josephine Spencler with sister Portia (Loughman).
Patricia was born in Oxnard on September 10, 1926. She graduated in 1943 from Santa Clara High School and went to Mount St. Mary’s in Los Angeles where she received her bachelor in Sociology. After raising her children, she received her real estate license and became a successful real estate agent for Century 21.
Pat loved to play bridge and belonged to numerous bridge groups. She enjoyed tracing her heritage, which she traced back to the 1700’s. She looked forward to having company and parties at her Somis ranch home with the most important people in her life, her family and friends, whom she loved very much and she had numerous lifelong friends.
Pat was a long-standing member of the Pleasant Valley Historical Society which honored her as a “Dona” in 1993.
