Patricia Pence

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Patricia Rae Jacobson Pence, on May 8, 2023.  She was 84 years old.  

Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Patricia was the daughter of Norman and Lulu Belle Jacobson.  She attended Glendale Adventist Academy where she met Bruce A. Pence, and later went on to marry him.  She was a hard-working and dedicated individual who always put her family first. 

Patricia was a loving and devoted mother to her two boys, Bruce A. Pence Jr. and Michael P. Pence.  She was also a proud grandmother to Tiffany A. Pence Barnhart, Marcus I. Pence, Cassandra A. Pence Hopkins, Jackson M. Pence, and Bruce A Pence, III. Also, a loving Great Grandmother of Teagan Barnhart, Eliza Fascenda, Tori Barnhart, and Hazel Hopkins she loved spending time with her family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand.

In her free time, Patricia was an avid gardener and loved her pets.  She was also an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist church and volunteered her hospitality skills to whatever cause was needed. 

Patricia will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  Her kind heart, infectious smile along with her good taste and impeccable style and unwavering love will never be forgotten.  We take comfort in knowing she is sleeping in the Lord and will be awaiting her Savior’s call.  

She was proceeded in death by her most beloved husband, Bruce A. Pence Sr., who passed away in 2008.

A graveside service is planned and will be held for family and friends at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park at 1:00 pm on May 19, 2023.
