Odnise De La Cruz Garcia

Odnise "Nise" Garcia It is with great sadness and pain I announce the passing of my beautiful wife and soulmate Odnise D. Garcia. A loving wife,mother,daughter,sister,aunt and friend to many. Nise fought Valiantly and with so much bravery against possibly thee most awful and destructive disease known according to those who witnessed it on a daily basis "pancreatic cancer". Throughout the 2 yrs since her diagnosis, she had good days and bad days but still always had that beautiful smile I fell in love with. For almost 22 years I felt I was the luckiest man on earth. "Vieja, My Heart Is Broken...I Love You"~ Jessie Garcia Nise grew up in Oxnard,CA and went with the Almighty Father on May 31,2012 at the young age of 39. She was born on July 6,1972 in Tijuana Mexico to the union of Hilario and Margarita DeLaCruz. At only 9 years old, both her parents passed away, she then went to live with and was raised by her aunt and uncle Margaret and Antonio Carrillo-whom she affectionately called "Mom and Dad". Nise was a Graduate from Rio Mesa HS Class of 1990. During her Senior year, she met and fell in Love with her future husband and soulmate-Jessie R. Garcia, they were married on January 26,1991. During their 21 years of marriage they had 5 precious children-who were her entire life! She also had 3 fur-babies: her dogs Oneh,Tasha and Tweety who showed her so much love and devotion until the very end. Nise worked a few jobs, but she was the happiest when she worked for Vons. After only 10 years, she worked her way up to Supervisor, where she was known as a "Mother Hen" to many of the young kids working there and who will always love and remember her for that. Nise Loved too cook and loved to eat even more. Whenever a new restaurant opened, there was no doubt she'd have her family there trying it out. Nise was a very patriotic person who loved listening to country music (which intensified her Patriotism for this country) and judging by her wardrobe, she didn't just talk the talk she wore it with her countless flag shirts and flags she had around the house. Nise is survived by her Loving Husband-Jess Garcia, children-Richard, Brandon, Daisey, Melinda and Coby Garcia-all of Oxnard, CA, mother-Margaret Carrillo, sister-Sonia Sotelo, brother-Tony Carrillo-of Las Vegas, NV, brothers-David Sotelo and Albert Cruz-of Oxnard, CA, and her Mother-in-law-Mary Garcia-of Oxnard, CA whom she loved and had a special bond with, along with numerous, nieces, nephews, Brother/Sister in-laws,cousins,aunts, uncles and the countless friends she made during her short life, all of which Loved her very much and will forever treasure their time with her. She was preceded in Death by her parents Hilario and Margarita DeLaCruz and her Tio/Dad Antonio Carrillo Sr.
