Norbert Mauch

Life Legacy Norbert Mauch, 92, of Camarillo, passed away on September 13, 2015, with his loving family at his side. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was the third of four sons of Charles and Louise [St. Pere] Mauch. After serving in Belgium with the U.S. Army signal corp. during World War II, he returned to Chicago and married his sweetheart and the love of his life, Rita Barry, with whom he recently celebrated 69 years of marriage. Norbert had a long and successful career as an instillation supervisor with Western Electric, in both Chicago and later, Los Angeles. Norbert, Rita and their children lived in Reseda from 1953-1980, where they attended Saint Catherine of Sienna Church. After the children were grown, Norbert and Rita moved to Camarillo in 1980, and became founding members of Padre Serra Catholic Church. Norbert is survived by his wife, Rita, children Kevin and his wife, Anita; James and his wife, Rene’; Susan (Hutchison) and her husband, Jeffrey Lengyel, grandchildren Jennifer Harris (Gregory); Heidi Cardone (Brennon); Angela Hutchison; Laurel Deurmier (Brian); Todd Hutchison, and great-grandchildren, Hannah, Luke, Audrey, Julianne, Taryn and Reagan. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 22, at 10:15 a.m. at Padre Serra Church, Camarillo. The mass will follow at 11:00. The graveside service will be at Santa Clara Cemetery.
