Ninfa Zepeda Alday, age 75, passed away Friday August 27, 2021. She was born January 5, 1946 in Saltillo, Mx to Ernesto and Maria Alday. Ninfa's siblings are Elizabeth Chavez, Tim Alday, Maria Gonzalez, Frank Alday, and Violet Alday.
In her early years, Ninfa arrived in the U.S. at the age of 15. Ninfa was always one to lend a helping hand to others. Ninfa was the true definition of a humanitarian and had the opportunity to continue to practice for over 30 years as a property manager for Cabrillo Economic Development at Rancho Sespe Apartments in Fillmore and Montgomery Oaks Apartments in Ojai. She was a manager for people of low income and farm worker families. Throughout her working years and even after retirement, Ninfa was shown love and appreciation by her residents. She was highly recognized as an inspiration.
Ninfa is survived by her husband, Jaime Zepeda; daughter and son-in-law, Marizol Zepeda and Miguel Iniguez; granddaughter, Itzelle Iniguez; and siblings Liz, Maria, Frank, and Violet. She is preceeded in death by her parents Ernesto and Maria Alday, brother Tim Alday and her newborn son Francisco Zepeda.
Ninfa was known to be loving and supportive, but most of all, funny and a jokester! She loved to spend time with family and her favorite hobby was going to the casino. Ninfa loved to be called "Abuelita" by her grand-daughter who ended up being the best of best friends!
Ninfa will be missed and forever in our hearts.
Services will be held at Perez Family Funeral Home Thursday, September 9th, 2021 (3:00pm – 9:00pm); mass on Friday, September 10th at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Barsdale Cemetery. Then we are holding a celebration of life at (302 B St.).
