Mueller, Nancy Sterling Hughes, 81, born in Los Angeles, CA, on Jan. 15, 1931, passed away at her home in Ojai, CA, on Jan. 16, 2012. Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Nancy was baptized at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Hollywood, and attended Cheremoya Elementary School, Immaculate Heart Training School, and graduated from Immaculate Heart High School in 1949, after attending high school for two years in 29 Palms, where her parent, Stanley and Lucy Hughes, owned a motel. In 1954 she married Barnard Mueller at All Saints Episcopal Church, Montecito. She was a member of the Lake Arrowhead Yacht Club, the California Yacht Club, and the Riviera Country Club and for many years was a member of Las Floristas. She lived in Brentwood, Santa Monica, Lake Arrowhead and Palm Springs before retiring in the mid-1990’s to Ojai. She is survived by three sons---Mark (Liz), Peter {Crystal), and John (Isabella), her sister, Kathleen Hughes Judy, five grandsons, and five nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her many friends who will remember her for her intellect, her wit, her love of life, and her smiling face. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Ojai, followed by a reception at the Ojai Valley Inn.
