It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our daughter Mikaela Ranae Garcia. Mikaela passed on April 20, 2021 along with her unborn son, Elijah.
She was born to her proud parents Arnold and Vickie Garcia on October 2, 1993. She is survived by her two daughters that she loved and adored, Ariana (4) and Mikaela (2), her love Efrain, siblings, Janae (Andrew), Arnold (Raquel) and Jason along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mikaela had a special way in connecting with people. She touched so many that came in contact with her. She had an amazing personality, beautiful spirit and a heart of gold. She brought joy to anyone around her. She would always have the right words to say to someone when they were having a bad day. Her smile was beautiful and her laugh was loud and contagious. She was funny, smart, positive, loving, nurturing, and bold. She was also a hair and makeup fashionista and took pride in looking her best. Mikaela lived by her own set of rules, she had to, that is what made her strong and resilient. She overcame many medical obstacles that life threw her way as an infant to adulthood. Not once did she feel sorry for herself or give up. Mikaela would hurt every day and would not say a word, she would get up and push through the day. She would not like to talk about her medical issues as she would say they would make people feel sorry for her and she did not want that to happen. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
We want to Thank Everyone for all their outpouring of love, support and contributions. We are very blessed to have family and friends that have been by our side during this difficult time.
We cannot imagine life without Mikaela. There are no words to express how much we will miss her and her beautiful glowing smile. We will carry her everywhere we go and know that she is always with us. In honor of her we will be having a celebration of life on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Oxnard Revival Center 2640 Alvarado St, Oxnard. Visitation will be from 4:30-6pm and the services will be from 6-8pm. On May 14, 2021, there will be a Mass at 9:30am at The Lady of Our Guadalupe church, 500 N. Juanita Ave, Oxnard.
