A journey here has ended, Maurice is now home with our Lord where there is no sickness or pain, loneliness or sorrow. Maurice Shelton Qualls was born November 27, 1970 to the union of Herman F. Qualls and Edythe L. Qualls in Oxnard, California. He attended Channel Islands High School and he loved all sports baseball, football and basketball where he earned his letterman’s jacket which made him very happy. He graduated in 1988 and went on to serve in United States Army from 1990 to 1994 where he received an honorable discharge. He also enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his dad and grandparents. To Maurice, his family was of utmost importance. Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, Herman F. Qualls and Edythe L. Qualls grandparents Superintendent C. L. Qualls, Missionary Ruby L. Qualls, David McLucas Sr. He leaves in his passing three children Jerrell, Justin and Destinee, one sister Michele Trejo (Miguel) He leaves behind his grandmother Frances McLucas, aunts Diane Moore (Pastor David), Saundra Middleton (Eric) and Martha Qualls Hughes and two uncles James (Karen) McLucas and David McLucas, Jr.(Sharon), two nephews Jordan and Johnathon Butler, two nieces Cicily and Toviya Trejo and a host of cousins and friends. The family wishes to acknowledge the support and sends thanks and sincere appreciation for everyone's outpouring of love during this time.
