Mary Elmina Gelinas

Mary was summoned to Heaven due to heart and lung complications on May 16, 2012 at the age of 87. She leaves behind in her immediate family, her son Richard Gelinas, Daughter in-law Tina Mariotti, 2 Grand Daughters - Alexandra Gelinas and Victoria Gelinas, 2 step grandsons Matt Mariotti and Nick Mariotti, in Simi Valley, CA. Mary also leaves behind her niece in Bradford Mass , Vicki Damphousse and her children Donna and Lynn and Mark, also Carl and Roseanne Townshend and thier family, and several other family members in the New England area. Mary was the last Matriarch of the family, leading by example with a strong Catholic faith in God. There was no waiting at Heavens Gates for her, she already had Angel-wings to sit next to Jesus. Mary’s wisdom and worldly knowledge was shared with everyone she talked with and met throughout her life. She left and unforgettable impression with a gracious style and elegance which shined brightly. Mary was a #1 beauty consultant in the country with Lady Finelle Cosmetics and Color Me Beautiful from the early 1970’s until 1994 with her longtime friend and partner Pauline Melanson. She was born and raised in Haverhill, Mass, and was married to Victor Gelinas for 52 years before his passing in 1998 in Lakewood , Colorado. They were world travelers from an early age with Victor being a 21 year Navy Veteran during WWII and the Korean war. Mary’s stories, laughter, and support for those around her, learned from an almost forgotten generation, will surely be missed. We love you, and will be with you when we are called.
