Mark Andrew Minjares passed away unexpectedly on Friday June 9, 2017 in Port Hueneme, CA.
Mark was born in Oxnard on
August 15, 1988.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Minjares, his parents, Fernando and Rosemary Minjares, his sister, Sarah, and brothers, Michael and Kevin.
He was also loved and cherished by his grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and a countless number of friends. As well as his dog Sophie, whom he loved so much.
Mark was a gifted and unique individual. He was filled with enthusiasm and passion for people. He had a variety of artistic skills that allowed him to excel in being a DJ, a barber, and a great tattoo artist. He also created beautiful paintings, music and digital art. In addition, Mark was naturally athletic. He was an aggressive amateur boxer. He was in both youth and high school football and played baseball at the college level. He especially enjoyed the times he spent deep sea fishing with his dad, brothers and nephews.
But eventually, he realized his greatest satisfaction was in his artwork. In 2015, Mark graduated from the Art Institute of Santa Monica and was awarded numerous accolades including "Best Portfolio". This helped him to achieve his goal of becoming a professional multi-media graphic web designer. He was a true creative genius.
Mark was driven by a strong competitive nature that was perfectly balanced with an incredible heart of gold. These qualities were demonstrated by his determination to succeed, as well as his life's mission to share his unconditional love for others. He touched the lives of many. His selfless and mischievous personality brought so much joy and laughter to all who knew him.
Although his physical being is gone, his life's work and beautiful memories will always remain in the hearts of those he touched. We love you Mark and we will always treasure every moment we shared with you. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Matthew 5:4
