Maria Ruiz Gonzalez

Maria Ruiz Gonzalez, 99 years young, passed away at home, peacefully in the presence of her loved ones on Monday, July 29th at 8:00pm. She was born on April 23, 1914 in El Fresno Municipio de Villamar, Michoacán, Mexico to Francisco Ruiz and Ester Gonzalez Ceja. She married Guillermo González Mendoza on August 20, 1930 in Jaripo Municipio de Villamar, Michoacán, México. Together they had 20 wonderful children and were married 38 blissful years. Maria was preceded in death by her husband Guillermo Gonzalez Mendoza on November 19, 1968. Maria was also preceded in death by her children Salvador Gonzalez on September 1, 1989, Rosa Juarez on July 3, 1995, Guadalupe Ceja in April 15, 1996 and Roberto Gonzalez on February 9, 2013. In addition, three of her children died shortly after birth; Salvador, Martin and one child who didn’t live long enough to be named. She is survived by her sons Manuel, Emiliano, Teófilo, Jesus, Jose, Javier and Guillermo “Willy” and her daughters Marta, Rebeca, Margarita, Evangelina, Maria and Sara. She is also survived by 76 grandchildren, 168 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. Maria immigrated to the United States on August 8, 1972. For many years, she divided her time between the U.S. and Mexico. Since 1994, she resided in Camarillo permanently but always talked about her home in Jiquilpan, Michoacán. Maria had an unwavering faith in God. She loved reading, gardening and canary birds. She enjoyed good food and socializing with family and friends alike. She was given to hospitality and enjoyed having any visitor in her humble home. She loved outings with her family to the Gardens of the World, beaches, parks and anywhere else her family would take her. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. She was filled with words of wisdom and maintained a great mind and memory. Her heart was filled with love for all her children, family, and friends. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Además, tres de sus hijos murieron poco después de nacer, Salvador, Martín y un niño que no vivió lo suficiente como para ser registrado. Le sobreviven sus hijos Manuel, Emiliano, Teófilo, Jesús, José, Javier y Guillermo "Willy" y sus hijas Marta, Rebeca, Margarita, Evangelina, María y Sara. También le sobreviven 76 nietos, 168 bisnietos y 12 tataranietos. María inmigró a los Estados Unidos el 8 de agosto de 1972. Por muchos años, ella dividió su tiempo viviendo en los Estados Unidos y México. Desde el 1994 residió en Camarillo permanentemente pero siempre hablaba de su casita en Jiquilpan, Michoacán. María mantuvo su fe en Dios hasta su muerte. Le encantaba la lectura, jardinería y los canarios. Le gustaba la buena comida y la compañía de sus amigos y familia. Disfrutaba tener cualquier visitante en su humilde hogar. Amaba salir con su familia a los jardines del mundo, playas, parques y a cualquier otro lugar que su familia la llevaría. Transmitía su felicidad con su sonrisa. María siempre tenía palabras de sabiduría y mantuvo una mente fuerte con una buena memoria. Su corazón estaba lleno de amor para todos sus hijos, familiares y amigos. Ella será extrañada profundamente por todos los que la conocían.
