Margaret “Peggy” D. Moore passed away March 6, 2013, surrounded by her husband and daughters, at her home in Lake Sherwood, Calif. Peggy was born, Margaret Dunlap on March 22, 1948, in Culver City, Calif., to Andrew and Iris Dunlap. Peggy and her husband, Mike, have been married since August 1968.
Peggy graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1970, and started her teaching career in Kingman, Ariz. After the birth of Maranda, the family moved to Santa Rosa Valley, Calif. Later, Melissa was born and Peggy raised two beautiful daughters.
All who knew Peggy, loved her and were touched by her generous heart and ability to make everyone feel cared for and welcomed. Peggy was also known for her knowledge and love of jewelry and interior design, as well as her fantastic sense of style. Peggy was the ‘P’ in Peggy and Mike’s business; MPM Constructors. Peggy contributed style, management, and all of the important personal touches that made a house a home, and their business and partnership a success. Peggy is survived by her husband, Mike; her daughter, Maranda (Mandy) Childress (Al Childress, Danielle Childress and Rebecca Childress); her daughter, Melissa Moore; her sister, Carol Roberts (George Roberts, Andy Roberts and Briana Roberts); her father-in-law, Thomas Moore; sister-in-law, Julie Stevenson; as well as her special cat, Frankie.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Church of the Epiphany located at 5450 Churchwood Drive in Oak Park, Calif. 91377.
