Lydia Brown Camacho

Lydia Brown Camacho went to her heavenly home on May 22, 2023, surrounded by four generations of family as they prayed and praised God together. 

Lydia was a lifelong Ventura County resident. She was raised in El Rio, CA and was one of 11 children. She was always happiest when she was around her loving husband, Victor Camacho, and her large, crazy family! She dedicated her life to caring for them. 

Lydia had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. Her abundant wisdom and advice touched many lives, her presence and encouragement were a source of comfort to those who knew her. Her joy in the Lord was contagious and brought happiness to everyone around her. She would often be found crocheting gifts while watching her "programs", gardening, making homemade tortillas, celebrating birthday parties, dancing at family gatherings, fervently praying and singing "hallelujah" loudly in church. 

Lydia loved Jesus with all her heart, soul and mind. Her strength and faith will continue to inspire and guide her family throughout their lives. She often spoke of her visions of heaven and it brings her family great peace to know that she's there, resting in the arms of the Lord, reunited with her loved ones.

Lydia is preceded in death by her parents Rebecca and John Brown; siblings Johnny Brown, Lorraine Gil and Ramona "Sego" Golson; and her beloved sons Phillip "Mickey Mud" Estrada, Peter Estrada and Randy Regalado. 

Lydia is survived by her husband, Victor Camacho; children Richard Estrada, Ron (Jeanette) Regalado, Rhonda Regalado and Larry Regalado; 19 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and godchildren. 

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Perez Family Funeral Home in Camarillo, CA at 10am with burial to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard.
