Luis Moreno

Luis Moreno, age 87 passed away peacefully on April 24, 2013. Luis was one of fourteen children born to his now deceased parents, Donaciano and Elena Moreno. He was born in Tequilita, Nayarit, Mexico on October 11, 1925. His union with Trinydad Perez(now deceased) of Mexico produced 3 daughters; Cecilia Perez of Santa Paula, Otilia(Jose) Perez of Camarillo and Librada Perez, now deceased. In search for a better way of life, Luis moved to the United States in 1950 and settled in Oxnard. He held a variety of jobs throughout his life. In 1952 he met Estela Gonzalez. They were married in 1953 and from this union had 8 children; Rosa Moreno of San Diego, CA., Donaciano Moreno of Oxnard, CA., Jose Moreno of Oxnard, CA., Maria Elena (David) Ramirez of Oxnard, CA., Juan (Gabriela) Moreno of Oxnard, CA., Patricia (Gil) Siqueido of Oxnard, CA., Rebecca (Bruce) Caldwell of Ventura, CA. and Maria Belen Moreno, who preceded him in death. Luis and Estela divorced in 1991. Luis is also survived by his wife, Gloria Venegas de Moreno, his siblings: Elvira Gonzales of Mexico, Jesus(Lupe) Moreno of Texas, Emilio(Yolanda) Moreno of Santa Paula, CA., Rosario Torres of Las Vegas, NV and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildrenIn early 2011, Luis moved in with his daughter, Maria Elena and her family, who lovingly cared for him until his death. Luis had a love of animals and enjoyed the company of his dog, Chaos. The family would like to thank Dr. Meghna Ailawadhi and her staff at Clinicas del Camino Real in Ventura for the respect, care and support given to our father.
