Leka Kapoti Vaotu'ua was born on March 26, 1938 and passed away on December 28, 2015. He was born in Leone, American Samoa. He moved to California where he majored in refrigeration and air conditioning from Riverside City College and also met his wife, Fuapepe Vaotu'ua. They were married in 1961 for 54 years with 5 children in Fontana, California. He was a business owner of a successful Samoan bakery for 29 years. Leka pioneered and pastors churches for 44 years the Mount Zion Samoan First Assembly of God church in Oxnard. He also pioneered churched in Apple Valley, Victorville, Fontana, San Bernadino, Riverside and San Diego. He was the father of 2 sons and 3 daughters, grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 8. He also enjoyed fishing and being around people. He loved and cherished his beautiful wife and he loved and cared for his family, his church and enjoyed making people laugh. Leka was a faithful servant of the Lord and a great man of God.
A Visitation for Pastor Leka will be held on January 5, 2016 from 9-11am located at South Coast Fellowship, 4050 Market Street in Ventura. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11am.
Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road in Ventura.
