Lauro H. Aceves Oxnard, CA Lauro H. Aceves, 60 years of age, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2017. He was born on April 06, 1957 in Oxnard, CA to Jose and Manuela Aceves. Lauro was born and raised in Oxnard, CA and attended public schools in Oxnard. Lauro worked in paving for over 20 years to local companies as well as in the family business. Lauro enjoyed spending time with family, making phone calls to all his family members and sharing stories and jokes. Lauro had a special bond with his nieces and nephews and through the years, that closeness extended to his great nieces and nephews. Lauro was always known for promising gifts to all his nieces and nephews by saying, “Mijo/Mija, I bought you a lot of gifts, but they are on Lay-Away.” As years passed, he would remind his nephews that they would be rich, due to the toys being antique and being on Lay-Away for many years. Lauro enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas and visiting Chumash Casino. He is survived by his three sisters, Gloria A. Murillo (Elias Murillo) of Camarillo, Rosemary Ader of Las Vegas, NV and Charlotte A. Koo (Tony Koo) of Oxnard, CA, 9 nieces and nephews, Patricia Galvan, Jaime Murillo, Irene Rodriguez, Veronica Martinez, Michael Flores, Francisco Koo, Elias A. Murillo, Nellie Collins and Margaret Koo. Lauro is preceded in death by his wife Connie Aceves; parents Jose and Manuela Aceves and brother Leon H. Aceves. A Rosary will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 7pm located at the Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Road in Camarillo.
