Karen Schoonover, 57, passed away unexpectedly September 25, 2010 at her home in Ventura, CA.
Born July 25th,1953 Karen was a life-long resident of Ventura where she worked for over thirty four years, before retiring early from the Government Center due to her illness.
A woman who simply loved life, Karen enjoyed traveling and was always eager to meet new people and see new places. Gracious, kind, and caring, her generosity was limitless. She cherished the time spent with family and friends, and her compassionate nature touched the lives of all those she held dear. Regardless of what lay ahead, a smile was ever-present on her lips. Though she will be greatly missed, her inner beauty and optimistic view of the world will not be forgotton.
Karen is survived by her daughter and son in law, Lisa and Travis Moore; her grandchildren, Heather, Samantha, and Brandon Marquardt, Sara Armstrong, and Samantha and Jayden Moore; her brother, Bill Thompson, her brother and his wife, Jim and Kem Thompson, her sister, Janet Scorza, and her sister and her husband, Terry and Chris Christian. She is further survived by neices, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Kathleen Thompson.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, October 9th at 1:00 pm at Perez Family Funeral Home, located at 1347 Del Norte Road, Camarillo, CA.
