Julie Ann Cundiff (-Nichols), 38, of Camarillo passed away Sunday January 22 after a brave 13-month fight against a glioblastoma brain tumor. Her family and four daughters cared for her and were at her side throughout the illness and at the time of her death. Julie was born December 4, 1978 in Camarillo and remained a Ventura County resident her entire life. She graduated from St. Mary Magdalen grade school in June 1993 and Frontier H.S. in June 1996. Her career started as a 411 operator for Verizon. Most recently she was employed at St. Johns Hospital as a PBX operator up until her illness prevented her from working. She was a caring and attentive daughter, sister and mother. Her daughters were her greatest joy and all her free time revolved around them. She enjoyed attending and participating in all their activities including school, sports and church. Julie is survived by her daughters Kiley Cundiff, Karleigh Cundiff, Kristena Nichols and Kelli Nichols. Father Terry (Tena) Cundiff, Mother Lisa Cordova (Craig) Schwarz, and step-father Jim Lingl (Candy). Brothers Jason (Claire) Cundiff, Illinois, Jameson (Suzanne) Lingl, Camarillo and Sisters Tamara Cundiff, and Tiffany Cundiff, Camarillo. Grandparents Robert (Joanne) Cordova and Betty Cundiff both from Camarillo. Uncles Bob, Dan and Chris Cordova, cousin Nolan Cordova and niece Athena Lingl. Step-sisters Bria Singer-Schwarz and Jayni Martinez and her family, all from Ventura. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who also loved her dearly. A funeral mass will be Friday February 3, at Padre Serra Parish at 10:00 am.
