Josephina Espinoza Sanchez
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great Grandma Josie, 94, passed away on April 8, 2021 at her home in Simi Valley, California.
Josephina is survived by her brother John Espinoza and her five children; Luis H. Sanchez (Leslie), Enrique Sanchez (Janine), Benjamin Sanchez (Delores), Gricielda Ruiz, and David Sanchez (Rocio). Grandchildren Fred Miller (Judy), Scott Miller (Lisa), Alicia Sanchez, Jason Sanchez (Stacie), Christopher Sanchez, Christina Shahbaz (Ernie), Carolyn Neary (Eric), Michael Sanchez (Joan), Ariana Lendl, Christie Lendl, Alexandra Lendl, Jeffery Lendl (Jennifer), Katarina Lendl, Teresa Lugo (Alex), Joe Sanchez (Regina), Ava Villasenor, Victor Villasenor (Bernice), Richard Ruiz (Suzanna), Jonathan Ruiz (Lisa), Anthony Ruiz, Briana Sanchez, and Elizabeth Sanchez. She also had 21 great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.
Josephina was born on October 14, 1926 in Fillmore, California and was a lifelong resident of Simi Valley. She was happily married to Luis Franco Sanchez (deceased 2013) for 65 years. That lasting love was apparent within the entire family.
She was an incredible individual as a homemaker and devoted mother raising her children with a kind heart, understanding, motivation and love. These attributes also have been instilled in her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
She was a kind, caring person and faithful catholic, who cherished her love of God and inspired her family with the same devotion, belief and trust in our Lord.
The visitation is Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 4:00 PM with Rosary beginning at 6:30 PM at Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Road, Camarillo, California.
Mass will be held on Thursday, April 29th, 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1305 Royal Ave, Simi Valley, California. It will be streamed live at: www.strosesv.com/mass
Burial will follow the Mass at Assumption Cemetery.
