Josephine “Josie” Munoz

With heavy hearts and deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beautiful beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Josephine “Josie” Morales Muñoz.

Josie peacefully passed away on June 18th, 2024, with her loving supportive family by her side. She was born on June 20,1938 in Ventura, CA to Federico and Micaela Morales. She was a lifelong resident of Oxnard. She worked at Gentry Consolidation Foods throughout the 70’s and was a loving homemaker. Her welcoming kindness will be greatly missed by all.

She is joined in heaven with her husband Rudy C. Muñoz, mother Micaela Ortega Morales, father Federico Morales, sister Rachel, brothers Johnny, Jesse and Richard Morales, son-in-law John St. Clair, mother-in-law Bertha C. Muñoz, and father-in-law Martin P. Muñoz.

Her remaining siblings include: Tony, Fred (Jr) Morales, Rachel Bocanegra, and Linda Lerma.

She is survived by her five children: Rudy A. (Frances) Muñoz, Cynthia Muñoz, Janie (John) St.Clair, Yolanda Muñoz, and Anthony (Jeannette) Muñoz.

Grandchildren include: Lorenzo (Katrina) St. Clair, John Jr. (Karen) St. Clair, Cassie (Eliceo) Muñoz, Ashley Ortiz, Rudy Garcia, Jenelle Muñoz, Anissa Ortiz, Arianna Muñoz, and Brenden Muñoz.

Great Grandchildren include: Gabriella, Ayden, Jace, Santos, Albert, Rudy, Joseph, Liam, and Jonathan.

She also leaves behind numerous family members from the Morales, Bocanegra, Lerma, Chavira, and Muñoz families

Josie enjoyed family gatherings and adored all her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Mom loved making and painting her ceramics, crocheting, gardening, cooking, and enjoyed watching cooking, gardening shows, and Dodgers games. Mom, thank you for being a beautiful angel in our lives.

Josie has been entrusted to the care of the Perez Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Friday June 28, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Perez Family Funeral Home 3150 Loma Vista Rd. Ventura, CA 93003.
