Joseph Allen Sykora Camarillo, CA. 63, passed away Friday, November 12th, 2010 at Saint John’s Regional Medical Center very unexpectedly. He was born December 7th, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Ervin Joseph Sykora and Marcella Lucille Sykora (Hardy).
He is survived by his wife Ploenpit Sykora, Father: Ervin Sykora, Siblings: Allen, Jean and Richard Sykora; Children Sheri Kerr (Sykora) and Timothy Sykora with grandchildren Kayla, Joseph II, Johnathan, Jacob, Jesse, Jayden, Michelle and Jessica.
Joe graduated from Sylmar High School, Sylmar, CA in 1965, attended Valley College in Van Nuys then entered the United States Air Force as an Airframe Repair Technician. He worked around the world during war and peace with tours in Southeast Asia and England. Joe retired from the Air Force June 1986 after over 20 years of faithful and dedicated service. He transitioned to the civilian workforce as an officer at the Glendale Humane Society, later moving on to the Ventura County Corrections and lastly at the Hoseman in Camarillo, CA.
Joe’s love of mechanics and flying continued as his hobby at the Camarillo Airport where he and his flying brothers maintained and flew their ultralight airplanes.
His gentle personality along with his giving nature made him a great man who will be missed by many.
